Many of you asked if I could make a tutorial on how to make the origami stars from this post.
I tried my best to make the steps as simple as possible! It takes some practice to make the stars
look perfect, so don't be discouraged if you don't get it the first time! Good luck and enjoy!

These will be LOVELY on christmas packages this winter. I plan on making them in colors to match my wrappings and stringing them. Thank you for the tutorial -- I saw it on Pinterest and have pinned it to my 'Trimmings' board, which is all about Christmas and gift giving ideas :)

I *almost nailed it on the first try! They're so easy, I love it!
ReplyDeleteWhen you make that first "ribbon" fold hold the short end and pull the long end through. I wasn't sure how long the end to tuck in should be, and I wound up with a piece that was too short at the very end, hence the *almost part. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks for this! Just made me a bunch and am going to string them :) Seems the trick to get them perfect is making sure all sides meet in the beginning so that all 5 sides are equal and tight.
